Student Board Representative Anna Impellitteri

We are pleased to announce Anna Impellitteri from Conner High School has been elected to serve as the student representative on the Boone County Board of Education for the 2018-2019 school year. Anna was sworn in by the Honorable Rick Bruggman.

Bus Routes Mock Run buses

Boone County Schools is helping to prepare parents, students, and the community-at-large with a dry run of the BC school bus routes! The "rehearsal" or mock run will happen on Monday, August 13. All buses will be driving the exact routes. This will give our transportation department an opportunity to correct/tweak things prior to the first day of school on Wednesday, August 15.

Stuff The Bus stuff the bus

It's time to Stuff the Bus!!! Bring three or more items to any Northern Kentucky Chick-fil-A on July 31st and receive a chicken free sandwich! Notebooks/Composition notebooks, kids socks, packs of pencils, packs of markers and glue sticks are needed most. Our primary collection spot will be the Chick-fil-A on Houston Road, but you can drop off supplies for Boone County Schools at any location. Just let them know when you drop off your items.

LinkingTogether: Youth Mental Health Summit classroom

Please join us for this two-day event, Friday, June 22 from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, and Saturday, June 23, from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Both days will include lunch, a keynote speaker, and various workshops and seminars, led by national, state and local experts in the areas of youth mental health.

Session topics will include Youth Mental Health First Aider training, Trauma Informed Care, Social Emotional Learning, Drug Free Clubs of America, Bullying, Resiliency, Mindfulness and many more.

The goals of the Summit are to increase mental health literacy, to reduce the stigma associated with mental health disorders in our community and to strengthen community response to youth development through awareness, knowledge, connectivity and access.

Boone County Schools will partner with the Lexington Children’s Theater to create a “Magical Journey.” Students will use their imagination and creativity to express themselves with grace and beauty through multiple artistic disciplines.  Working with Peer Tutors, Boone County Teachers and Para Educators, and the Shooting Stars Youth Theatre, students will showcase their individuality with a performance for family and friends on Saturday.

The World Maker & Inventor Expo is a celebration of making, inventing, problem solving and innovation with robotics, 3D printing, drones, aerospace, coding, micro-computing, CSI, Arduino, graphic design, engineering and much more. The family-friendly expo will feature projects and programs from over 100 schools, universities, companies, and organizations in the greater Cincinnati-northern Kentucky regions. Enjoy workshops and competitions, including drone relays, 3D design, outlaw derby races, as well as delicious pies, fries, kabobs, sandwiches, waffles and shaved ice from area food trucks!

The Boone County Schools International Festival has been postponed and is now coming up on May 5th.  It is being held at Mann Elementary from 11:00am until 3:00pm.  Addmission is free and there will be plenty of activities for the entire family!

District Summer Course Offerings books

District Summer Credit Information 2018

District Summer Credit offerings are through a blended learning model of in-person and virtual curriculum offerings.

Your student’s home high school may also offer summer credit courses.  Those registrations are handled directly by the home high school, and not through this registration link.  The District Summer Credit Program is offered as an additional option for students and families.

All of the curriculum can be completed entirely through a virtual platform.  There will be no requirement for students to meet with their assigned teacher.  Teachers will have office hours and locations available for student assistance as needed.

District Summer Credit programs will be offered in one session:  June 11-July 6, 2018

Initial meeting date for the session will be May 30 at 6:00PM at Boone County HS

Boone County Schools is one of many school districts across the country that is being subjected to copy- cat threats of the school tragedy in Florida.  We are working with local authorities as they investigate a recent rash of rumors and threats on our campuses.  Student suspects in each of the cases were immediately identified and apprehended.  They were charged by local authorities and disciplined by their schools.   In each case a thorough investigation was conducted by the school district and authorities.  No student or staff member was ever in danger. Confidentiality laws prevent Boone County Schools from talking about the persons involved or the specifics of the incidents. Boone County Schools will continue to remain on alert, following our safety protocols and working with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department and Florence Police as future issues arise.

Drug Free Club of America Information

When will students in the club be drug tested? The Drug Free Club of America's drug testing company will be coming to Conner High School on Monday, October 23rd to conduct the first initial drug testing for all students who have signed up for the club, paid the $35.00 membership fee, and turned in a completed brochure with parent/student signatures. That being said, any student who wishes to sign up for the club and be included in the first drug screen to receive a free t-shirt, goodie bag, and photo id membership card MUST do so by this Friday, October 20th.

***Last day to collect money for the first initial test is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20th. How can students who wish to sign up for the club get the $35.00 and signed brochure to me?

Students must ask their teacher for permission to leave class and bring money to the classroom. They will use their hall pass with teacher permission. Student must knock on door, turn money in to me without disruption of class. On Thursday, October 19th, students may also come to Room 124 during club time to drop off the money. We will not be meeting as a club that day, but it also gives students another opportunity to turn in the money.

Bus Changes School Bus

Bus 192 will be held today. Bus 220 will return to get the students. They will be running about 20 minutes late getting home. Effective Wednesday, October 18th the students that ride Bus 192 will be riding Bus 363 home. Bus 337 will also be held today. Bus 248 will return to get the students. They will be running about 10-15 minutes late getting home.

On October 19th and 21st (Thursday and Saturday), the Conner HS Choirs will be headed BACK TO THE EIGHTIES! Our Fall Pops concert will contain hits by Journey, Michael Jackson, Kenny Loggins, the B-52's, Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen, and many others! Costumes and crazy hair are highly encouraged and supported.

Need homework help? Do you need assistance understanding what is going on? Come to tutoring every Thursday after school in Room 117. You can get assistance in classes from Integrated Science to AP Stats.

GSP Application Help GSP

There will be a GSP Workshop on Tuesday, October 17th is designed to help those who are serious about the GSP process. Our conversations will center around the following:

1. How to get the most out of your entries on the application.

2. How to choose a focus area that may able you to get into GSP.

3. We will also discuss things you can control in the scoring process and things you can’t control.

In addition, there will be model applications for you to utilize as a starting point for your own individualized entries in the extra-curricular, service, and honors and awards sections. We hope to see you there from 2:30 - 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17th in Room 215.

Come support our Men's Soccer team tonight as they take on Cooper at 7:30 p.m. in the District Tournament! The game will be held at Ryle High School. Wear blue to support the boys as they strive to beat Cooper to advance to the district final!

Watch Conner vs. Ryle Saturday on Star 64 Star 64

Support our football players as they take on Ryle on Saturday, October 14th at 7:00 p.m.  The game will be held at Ryle and is a "Pink Out".  The game will be broadcast live on Star 64.  The first 125 students in each student section will receive a free pink Pipe Wrench game t-shirt. Each team will be giving a $500 check to someone or a foundation of their choice. The checks will be presented to each team after the game. The winning team will also be presented a plaque after the game. We would love to see as much pink support as possible!

2017 Homecoming Court Homecoming

Congratulations to the 2017 Homecoming Court:

The fourth runners up were Lindsay Goldsberry and Tanner Craddock.  The third runners up were Emilee Carr and Connor Kell.  The second runners up were Mykell Marshall and Jeremy Lyle. The first runners up were Meagan Ravenscraft and Dakota Devlin.  The 2017 Homecoming Queen was McKenzie Weber the King was Michael Strucke.  Congratulations to everyone.

In the parade Girls Basketball placed 1st for their Float and Archery 2nd.  Musical Theatre placed 1st for their banner and Choir 2nd.  Thank you Mrs. Franxman and CHS faculty and staff for all your hard work and dedication.

Overture Awards Writing

Are you a writer? Have you written any exceptional fiction, creative non-fiction, or poetry? Have you written a play? A screenplay? Would you like to win the $4,000 cash prize? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, please bring your best writing to Ms. Covert in Room 210 by Friday, October 13th. A committee will then choose two writing pieces from all of the submissions to send to the Overture Awards, a competition open to all Cincinnati-area high school students. Three finalists will receive a $1,000 prize, and the winner of the creative writing category will receive the $4,000 prize. This is a stellar opportunity.

Governor's Scholar Program for Juniors

Attention Juniors: There will be an informational session for those students interested in applying for the Governor's Scholars Program on Monday, October 2nd at 130 p.m. in Room 120. If interested, sign up in the Counselors Office.

There will be a new club offered at CHS starting Tuesday, October 2nd. Students interested in information regarding The Drug Free Club of America, sponsored by Molly Degaro, can come to Room 124 on club day (10/2/17). Congratulations Marching Band

On Saturday, September 16 the Marching Cougars participated at the Bishop Fenwick Marching Band Contest where they tied for best music in their class and tied for 2nd place band in their class. They placed 6th out of 14 total bands on the day. Congratulations to the Marching Band on a great start to their season.

Freshmen Tailgate Party Freshmen

The Freshmen Tailgate will be this Friday, September 22nd, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in front of the soccer practice field. CHS Annual 5K - October 7th Cougar

Senior Passports

Tomorrow is the deadline for senior passports. Football Fundraiser at Chipotle

Monday, September 18th from 4-8 p.m. is the Conner Football Chipotle Fundraiser, at the Burlington Chipotle. Make sure you show the official flyer (hard copy or on your phone) or tell the cashier at checkout that you are there for the Conner Football fundraiser. Boys' Basketball Open Gym

There will be another freshman boys' basketball open gym, for those not playing a fall sport, on Tuesday, September 11th from 5-6:45 p.m.

Auditions Postponed

Auditions for the school play have been postponed until further notice.

Softball Team Open Field Softball

Starting on Tuesday September 12th the softball team will start open field from 3 to 5. This will be every Tuesday weather permitting. It is open to all girls 7th-12th grade that have an interest in playing softball in the spring.

Student Cars Must Have Parking Sticker

ALL cars parked on the student lot MUST have a current 2017-2018 CHS parking sticker. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action as well as possibly being towed.


FCCLA dues are $15 and should be paid to Ms. Cox Room 108 by Friday September 22nd. T-shirts are an additional $8.50. Make checks payable to Conner High School.

Audition Dates for the School Play

Auditions for the Drama Club's school play WILL NOT be today after school as announced on Club Day. Auditions WILL take place after school in the auditorium next Monday and Wednesday (September 11th and 13th). Sample scripts will be provided or you can bring one of your own.

Hurrican Harvey Collection Sponsored by FCCLA FCCLA

Conner FCCLA is sponsoring a collection for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. The collection runs September 5th – the end of September. The items being collected are: clothing, shoes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, diapers, baby rash cream, baby wipes, powder baby formula, baby clothes, bottled water, and towels. Please only bring these items and no cash or checks. All of these items are being donated to Matthew Ministries who are sending groups down to Texas to personally deliver all the supplies. All donated items can be dropped off in Room 108.  Please do not drop any supplies off in the Main Office. Also, FCCLA is staying after school on Friday September 8th from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and on Friday September 15th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. for donations.  See Ms. Cox if you have questions.

E-sports Cancelled for Today

E-sports has been cancelled for today. Try-Outs will now be Wednesday through Friday 9/6-9/8 please show up at least once to be on the team. Tryouts are after school in Room 114 till 5:00.

9th - 11th PSAT Exam

Attention 9th-11th Graders: PSAT examinations are being sold now in the Counselors' Office for $20. The test will be given on October 11 here at Conner. Students who are Juniors can take this test as the entrance for the National Merit Scholarship Competition, while Freshmen and Sophomores can take it for practice. Please turn in money each day prior to lunchtime. Any questions, ask your counselor.

Leadership League Applications Available

Senior Passports are on sale for $25.00 until Friday, September 15th, 2017. Passports give students discounts on Senior events. Wrestling Information

Student login information for Infinite Campus has changed. Login is your student email address. Password is the same password that you use to login to the computers. If you do not know your password, any of your teachers can look this up for you.

Archery Homecoming Meeting

All existing archers and new archers there will be a homecoming meeting on Wednesday, September 6th after school from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. in Room 115. We will be voting on candidates and brain storming ideas for our float. The theme for homecoming is "Words to Live By".

If you are interested in joining FFA, we are hosting a Regional Conference for 9th and 10th graders on September 23rd. In order to go, you need to pay Ms. Gripshover $15 for the conference and lunch. You can do that between classes or during Lunch on September 1st there will be a table set up to pay in the Lobby.

Conner High School Open House will be on Wednesday, August 30th from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.  This is an invitation for parents/guardians to meet teachers, administrators and staff.

Yearbook Information Media Team

This year we have two options available for the yearbook. First, digital copies for $20. We also have a $30 yearbook combo this year. It comes with a card-stock front and back, full color pages, and a digital copy. For your information, the printed copy of this yearbook is not a hardcover copy. It will be printed at Conner and assembled by the media team. The binding will be spiral. Both are available to order in the MAC Lab. Thank you for your continued support of our curriculum!

Senior Memory Book

Attention Seniors! For the first time CHS is offering a Senior Memory Book for purchase. What's a Senior Memory Book? It's where you can memoralize your last year at Conner. There are 10 pages to fill with your favorite moments and SIGNATURE pages for your friends to leave a lasting message! The Senior Memory Book is only $15 and the money is due to Mrs. Martin in the Art Room during 2nd, 3rd, or 4th period by September 15th.

Health Careers Showcase Health

The Health Careers Showcase is September 18th. Students will have the opportunity to talk with health care professionals and learn about the necessary education, salary, and responsibilities associated with the occupations presented. The number of attendees is limited and is open to 10th-12th grade students. The cost is $2 per student. Sign Ups are in guidance or you may use the Google Form here. National Honor Society Meeting NHS

National Honor Society will have a mandatory meeting for new and existing members immediately after school in the Auditorium on Thursday, August 31st. Cars must be moved prior to the meeting. 24 hours written notice is required for excused absences.

Please be advised that the Conner High School Site Based Decision Making Council meeting, originally scheduled for August 24th, has been re-scheduled for August 25th in the school Library at 2:45 p.m.

Senior Class Office

Any senior who wishes to run for Class Office (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) needs to pick up the information sheet and submit their name to Mrs. Franxman NO LATER THAN Monday, August 28th. You can pick up the information sheet outside of Mrs. Franxman’s Office.

NaviGo Applications NaviGo

If you are interested in a career in law, nursing, sports medicine, line crew, CAD, engineering, manufacturing or the KYFame program, see Mrs. Franxman or the CCR page of the school website. NaviGo has selected CHS for these programs. They are selective and can lead to job opportunities and hands on experiences in these fields. The deadline to apply is September 6th.

E-Sports Tryouts

Do you play League of Legends or DOTA 2? Then get ready! E-Sports tryouts are taking place September 5th through the 8th from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.  in Room 114. You need to show up to 2:00 of the tryout days to be eligible to make the team.
