• Alert: If you drive by school Friday morning you will notice teachers and staff standing in solidarity asking our great community and legislators to support our children and public schools. Then they will return inside and begin to teach the rest of the day as normal. There will be no delays to the normal school day. This is a Walk In, not a Walk Out. As you may, or may not be aware, our Governor is proposing some pretty serious budget cuts that will have a detrimental effect on our kids, our teachers, our school, and our district - basically public education as we know it. In general, budget cuts mean less "extra" opportunities for our kids provided by the district or school. This means larger class sizes for your child and less services to assist your child if they need them. Additionally, less resources for your child to learn and less highly trained teachers providing that learning. We MUST stop these cuts from occurring to protect our children's education. Many Boone County Schools are also doing this tomorrow, at times before or after the official school day.
