Honey Bee colony collapse is a serious problem in our area and around the world. Bees are key pollnators for our food plants, so a threat to the bees is a threat to us all. The driving question for the Save the Bees Project is:
What can we do to mitigate bee colony collapse in our area?
Students will research the causes of this situation to identify actions they can take to make a difference, create a mult-media educational program to educate peers and parents, cultivate bee-friendly plants, and engage the entire CMS student body to plant over 1000 bee-friendly perennials.
