A little bit about me: I was born in Germany, grew up in Japan, and came to America for high school. Bet you could not figure out I have always loved art! I was always doodling, creating, and dreaming of being an artist since I could walk; it is my passion. It was a natural choice to major in Fine Arts and then when I began teaching, I realized I had another passion-being a teacher and sharing with people my great love.
I have been working in the field of art education since 1999 and have taught art to all age groups and have enjoyed every minute of it. I also have been the Director to an arts organization that works with disabled adults and have started my own art summer camp in England. I have been teaching art with Boone County Schools since 2005.
Art and education, to me, is the perfect combination. It makes me feel complete. One of my favorite sayings is "eARTh" without "Art" is "eh." Do we want to live in an "eh" world?
Thank you for supporting the arts!
