In 1999, I graduated from Thomas More College with a Bachelor's in Education, K-4, and the endorsement of Language Arts, grades 5-8. I taught second grade for four years, until 2003 when I earned my Master's Degree, from the University of Kentucky, in Library Science. I moved to a different school and became a Library Media Specialist. In 2007, I was fortunate to find a home at Stephens Elementary as the Library Media Specialist. I grew up in Boone County, so finding a position in the Boone County School system was like coming home. I love my school and the children that I am fortunate enough to work with. I am passionate about reading and cultivating readers.
I love to read. My favorite book is Christy, by Catherine Marshall (A fiction story about a teacher!) I love to watch movies. My favorite movie is The Last of the Mohicans.
I am married to a wonderful man and have three dogs that I call my "fur-babies".
Jackson - Jackson is my oldest. He is a black Lab and always getting into something!
Bear and Lilly are brother and sister. They are still in the puppy stage and love to eat things that they shouldn't!
I love teaching and helping students find a special book that interests them. My goal is to help my students grow to love reading as much as I do! I am excited to begin a new year and I look forward to working with you!
