My name is Kari Mathews. The 2017-2018 school year is my 13th year teaching at Stephens Elementary. I taught kindergarten for 5 years, 1st grade for 6 years, 2nd grade for 2 year, and this will be my 1st year teaching Digital Literacy! I attended St. Henry District High School and went to Thomas More College. I completed my Masters program at Northern Kentucky University where I graduated in December 2009 with a degree in Reading and Writing. I am half-way through my Rank 1 program at Georgetown College in Teacher Leadership and Technology.
Outside of teaching I love to travel. Over the summer my family went to Florida and Wisconsin. I am a huge sports fan. I love the Bengals and the Reds. I am a big Notre Dame football fan and love all University of Louisville sports. I enjoy reading and watching movies.
I got married on July 25, 2009. My husband works for a TriVaCo in Hebron. We live in Hebron with our triplets (Emmy, Tommy, and Gus) that keep us VERY busy! They will be at Stephens in Kindergarten this year.
