Boone County has been my home since 1987. I have spent all but one year since 1987 in Kentucky, in 2010 I lived a year abroad in Belgium. I am thrilled to be working in Boone County! I grew up in upstate New York, in a rural farming town much smaller than here in Northern Kentucky!  To give you an idea of the size of the town a big Sunday morning church service was 12 people and I attended a two room school house!  My career path to Goodridge in Boone County has had many turns!  I hope that the children I teach can benefit from my life experiences.

I have spent my entire career working with children, but only five years in the public school system.  I started my career as a gymnastics coach paying my way through college working for a former Russian Nationalist.  I learned a few Russian words and eventually traveled to Russian and studied coaching in Russia.

After graduation from college, with my fresh degree in Recreational Leadership I traveled to Florida and worked for 2 former US Olympians, coaching gymnastics.  A few twists and turns later, I moved to Kentucky with my husband and we established Tumblin’ Tigers. Tumblin’ Tigers was a movement education program for children 2 -5, through this program we touched the lives of many children in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for over 20 years, and we retired in 2008.

Along the way I returned to college a couple of times, I graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in Psychology, returned again to Xavier for my masters degree in Education with focus on Early Intervention (birth – five) and once more to Northern Kentucky University for a teaching certificate in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education.

After my Graduate work, I worked for First Steps, Kentucky’s early intervention program working with families with children birth to three that have developmental delays or disabilities.  My experiences with First Steps lead me to Belgium working for the Department of Defense attached to a United States Army medical treatment facility, at the NATO base Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe providing early intervention for military families in Belgium, Netherlands and Germany.  Now I am settled back in the USA and thrilled to be in Boone County.
