My name is Lindsy Barrix. This is the start of my seventh year of teaching. My first two years teaching were spent at Bellevue High School as a collaborative special education teacher. I was also developed and ran the peer tutoring program and started an after school drama club.
I moved to Conner Middle School in 2010 and came in as collaborative special education teacher for the Stallion Team and now am teaching language arts. In May, I graduated with my masters in gifted education from Xavier University in the spring of 2013. As I start my second year of teaching language arts, I am still very excited about teaching and looking forward to interating with the students this year.
Last spring, I directed my fourth musical. In the last three years we, at CMS, have produced You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Into the Woods, and Beauty and the Beauty and the Beast. My goal is to present Mulan this year.My time as the drama coach has been a very exciting endeavour. My first year at CMS we had about 14 students involved with the musical. Last year, I had 37 students, 4 high school interns, 2 college students, and a group of faithful parents that were a part of a successful producation of Beauty and the Beast.
