Between November 11th and November 25th, our students will be participating in a brief, unique assessment.
In 2009, Gallup launched the Gallup Student Poll, a web-based survey for students in grades 5 through 12 that measures three variables: hope for the future, engagement with school and well-being. (Visit the Gallup Student Poll homepage at http://www.gallupstudentpoll.com for more information.)
Our school will receive a composite score on hope, engagement and well-being for your student. The assessment will provide school and district leaders with important data outside of standard measures, such as credits earned, GPA and test scores, which can inform our school’s programming and initiatives to help ensure success for every student in the future. Your student’s individual score will not be shared beyond our school district. Please contact our principal, Mr. Poiry, if you have questions that have not been addressed in this letter.
If you do NOT wish to have your student participate in the Gallup Student Poll, you must sign and return THIS FORM indicating your refusal to grant permission for your student to participate. This form will also be available to you in our front office if you do not have access to a printer. The form must be returned to Mrs. Bianchi in the front office by November 5th.
