Summer Learning

Parents and Students- The deadline to take AR quizzes and to log reading minutes is quickly approaching! The deadline is July 31st! Don't forget to log your reading minutes on the google doc linked to our NHES website under the "Summer Learning" Tab.  All AR points earned will go toward next year’s goal!


The World's Longest Yard Sale

The World's Longest Yard Sale at New Haven is on August 7th, 8th& 9th. We still have quite a few shifts to fill, especially on Thursday afternoon and Friday. Kids are welcome to help their parents in the parking lot. Make it a family effort and help our school!  Any amount of time you can give is appreciated. Dunk Some of Your District Favorites For A Great Cause

First Church of Christ is partnering with the Boone County Alliance during the Boone County Fair (August 4-9) to raise money for Heroin prevention in local schools.   You can purchase three balls for one dollar and dunk some of your favorite people in the community to raise money to fight this epidemic in Northern Kentucky.  The goal is to raise $3,000.  The schedule highlights for the district include:

  • Monday 8/4 - Stephens Elementary Principal Mr. Detwiler 6:00pm - 8:00pm.  Boone County Schools Superintendent Dr. Randy Poe 8:00pm - 10:00pm.
  • Thursday 8/7 - Boone County Schools Executive Director of Student and Community Services Kathy Reutman 6:00pm - 8:00pm.  Boone County Schools Board Member Dr. Maria Brown 8:00pm - 10:00pm.
  • Saturday 8/9 - North Pointe Elementary Principal Mr. Shires - 2:00pm - 4:00pm.

New Haven's 2014-2015 Open House

Parents and Students-

Open House for the 2014-2015 school year will be on August 11th! Come meet your teachers, explore the school, pay fees, and drop off your school supplies!

AM Kindergarten, Preschool, 1st, and 2nd grades: 5:30-7:00pm

PM Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades: 7:00-8:30pm

New Haven teachers and staff are so excited for the upcoming school year.

The first day of school for students is August 13th!


Calling All 4th Grade Girls!

New  Haven's Girls on the Run Program wants you!!!

GOTR is a program that encourages pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through interactive lessons and running games. This program culiminates in a celebratory 5k race downtown Cincinnati! We would love to have you join our program! Please check out the GOTR table during Open House on Aug 11th for registration information. Online registration begins August 18 - August 27. If you have any questions regarding this program or the registration process, please contact Mrs. Genie Langhals at betty.langhals@boone.kyschools.us.

***Please note this program is open to 4th and 5th grade girls, with the teams split based on curriculum lessons.

Fall team- Open to 4th grade girls

Spring team- Open to 5th grade girls (after winter break)- stay tuned. 


Young Rembrandts~ The Power of Drawing

Young Rembrandts is an enrichment program that teaches drawing, the fundamental skill of all visual arts. The student will learn a ‘right brain’ activity using a ‘left brain’ step-by-step methodology. A new lesson will be taught each week and one Art History lesson a month. All supplies provided. Minimum of 8 per class and maximum of 20.This program will run on Wednesdays from October 1st- November 19th: 4 pm-5 pm.
