Friday, September 4, is a RED day for Unified Arts.

“International Students Club is accepting new members and meets Monday’s at 2:45-3:45.   Go to room #119 to learn more about the club!”

Attention All 6th, 7th, or 8th graders: If you are interested in becoming a member of the Academic Team, the First Round of tryouts will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. That’s August 31st, September 1st and 2nd.  Tryouts will be in Mrs. Stigall’s class (room #206) from 2:45 until 3:45

Coding Club will begin on Sept. 1st. No experience or sign up required to join. The Coding Club will meet every Tuesday in the CMS library from 2:45-3:30. Please make arrangements to be picked up by 3:30.

Math Counts will hold its first meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24th in room 105 from 2:45-3:30. Students should report with walkers and riders. Get a form from your math teacher or download from our Math Counts website http://www.boone.kyschools.us/olc/class.aspx?id=30652&s=665.

CMS students who would like to join archery and have never been part of our summer camp, club or team will need to turn in a sports physical form and $30.00 prior to September 8th.    Archery practices for those who wish to compete or were on the team last year begins October 13th.  You must have a sports physical and have paid the $30.00 fee to join.

MISSION

We are a CUSTOMER SERVICE organization who just happens to prepare students for college, career, and life through academics, the arts, and a strong focus on the four C’s of 21st Century Learning (communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking).

 

OVERARCHING GOAL

All students will achieve a minimum of a 19 on the college readiness exam as 8th graders, which informs us our students are on track to be college and career ready upon graduation from high school.
