Per Kentucky Senate Bill 1, curriculum and instructional resources recommended for the 2024-25 school year are available for review and public comment between Saturday, April 6, 2024 and Saturday, April 20, 2024. Curriculum refers to how learning experiences are designed in the classroom to teach the Kentucky Academic Standards. Teachers utilize the instruction resources linked below to deliver learning experiences.

Wyatt Levi and Mr. Turner

Congratulations to newly elected Student School Board Representative Wyatt Levi of Conner High School standing with Superintendent Matt Turner. He will assume the position currently held by Youssef Saidi of Cooper High School for the 2024-25 school year. Levi was elected today by student delegates from Boone County Elementary, Middle and High Schools at the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council (SSAC) Delegate Assembly. He will be the 23rd Boone County Schools Student Representative.

This past weekend Boone County Schools along with its collaborative partners presented a 2-day Mental Health Summit at Florence Baptist Church. This summit was jam-packed with resources from Mental Health Professionals for middle and high school students, their parents, families and educators.

Our high school graduation dates have been set. All of the graduations will be held at Truist Arena on the campus of Northern Kentucky University.

Saturday June 1st, 2024:

Cooper High School at 10:00 AM
Ryle High School at 3:00 PM

Sunday June 2nd, 2024:

Boone County High School at 1:00 PM
Conner High School at 5:00 PM

We’ve accomplished the near impossible since I became Superintendent four years ago.  Our district has transformed itself and I am proud of the unprecedented accomplishments under my leadership over the last four academic years. While my work is certainly not done, I am ambitious, I have a few more projects I am excited to complete before the end of the school year. I am very confident I have laid a solid foundation for academic growth, building upon the Boone County School district tradition, Achieving Excellence Together.

Boone County Schools are committed to ensuring every student is college, career and life ready. As the third largest in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the District consists of 15 elementary schools, 6 middle schools and four high schools. There are nearly 20,000 students, 1,200 who are English Language Learners, speaking over 50 languages in Boone County Schools.

The 21st century skills of critical thinking and communication are intentionally planned for and taught in Boone County.  Additionally, teachers provide opportunities for all students to be challenged within their zone of proximal development. Our schools create project/problem/passion based learning experiences for students to apply core knowledge, concepts and 21st century skills, within and across disciplines, to solve real-world problems.
