basketballBasketball is offered to boys and girls throughout the year at Mann Elementary.  Information flyers about Parent Meetings will be sent home.  The purpose of our school basketball program is to give students a fun way to socialize, teach fundamental skills, and team building.  



It’s time for the start of the BOYS 4th and 5th grade Intramural Basketball League at Mann Elementary. The purpose of the league BOYSBBis to promote Fun and Sportsmanship through teaching basketball.

The league will have practices on Tuesdays, beginning October 22.  Our first game will be held on Wednesday, 10/30, due to Halloween being on a Thursday this year.  There will be no practice or games the week of November 4th- 8th, due to Parent-Teacher Conferences.  After that, practice resume on Tuesday, November 12th and games on Thursday, November 14th. The last week we will have games is on Tuesday, Dec. 10 and Thursday, Dec. 12. There will be a Family Fun Day on Saturday, December 14th. More details on that will come later.

Teams will be assembled using the information on the registration form. This will allow for a mix of skill levels on each team. Special requests cannot be taken. Exception:  Players will be assigned to the team that their parent/guardian is coaching. Limit 2 coaches per team.

Coaches are needed to make the league successful. If you would like to coach, please contact the office as soon as possible, so that you can complete the required background check and volunteer training. There will be  a mandatory coaches/parent meeting on Tuesday, October 15th at 6:30.

Permission slips and fees are due by the beginning of the school day Thursday, October 17th. The fee is $20 per child ($6 for free/reduced lunch). Incomplete forms will be returned. Late registrations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis, however participation is not guaranteed.
