Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish Honor Society) is an invitation only honor society for students with a love of the Spanish language and cultures. A student must have complete at least 3 semesters of Spanish with an A average to be invited for induction. We support the Hispanic portion of our community by providing community service which can include teaching Spanish, translating for events, translating paperwork, and tutoring students in Spanish or students whose native language is Spanish.
Our main event each year is our state convention, in which 250 or more students from around the state come together to learn and celebrate Hispanic cultures. This convention is a 2-day event, and has been recognized by the organization at a national level for being a unique opportunity for students to come together and grow and promote the use of Spanish. If interested, see Sra. Rapp in room 227.
