Hollywood Nights
Saturday, May 11, 2019 7-10 p.m.

Dear Parents/Guardians of Eighth Grade Students:

The 8th grade dance committee is working towards a memorable evening for the 8th grade students and their last dance at Gray Middle School. The dance will take place May 11, 2019 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the school. The
theme this year is “Hollywood Nights”. Tickets will be sold for $10 each during lunch. Ticket sales will be announced. The time frame will be between 1-2 weeks before the dance. This gives us a good idea of approximately how many students we need to
prepare for the night of the dance. There will be finger foods, drinks, dancing and a photo booth for a night of fun.
We will be sending out a Sign-Up Genius asking for various donations and those who can help decorate and/or chaperone for this event. We depend on volunteers to help make this a successful and memorable event.

Please be aware of the following guidelines:

Eligibility: Students must be in good standing both academically and behaviorally in order to attend. Mr. Novak will make the final determination on attendance.
Attendance: Students must be present at school the ENTIRE day, Friday, May 10th, before the dance in order to attend.
Dress Code: No tuxedos, jeans or shorts. All dresses must have straps (clear straps are permissible) and cannot be floor length.
Outside Guests: Students in good standing may invite one guest from outside of Gray Middle School. The guest must be in 8th or 9th grade. The principal of the guest's school must sign a form stating that the student is in good standing. Forms will be available in the front office at GMS or at the following link GMS Guest Form.  The GMS student is responsible for their guest’s behavior.
