Julia Pile joins the Boone County Board of Education in 2019 after many years of volunteering in our district. She has served on numerous school and district committees along with various positions in PTAs and PTSAs. She currently serves as the Vice President of Communication for the Kentucky State PTA and is the President of the newly formed Boone County High School PTSA.
Julia was honored in 2017 to receive the inaugural Beverly Nickels Raimondo Parent Leadership Award presented by the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence. She is a 2012 Fellow of the Prichard Committee’s Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership. In 2018, Julia became part of the inaugural class of fellows of the EdTrust Fund to empower parents to advocate for equity in education.
Julia received her MBA (MIS) and BSBA (Accounting) from Bowling Green State University (Ohio). She is a former CPA in Ohio. She previously was Dean of Financial Services/Treasurer of Terra Community College. Julia is President of her own marketing/social media business, Stinger Media and runs a non-profit ParentCamp which is an official partner of the United States Department of Education. She is actively involved as a board member of the Rotary Club of Florence, Kentucky.
Julia has resided in Boone County since 2001 with her husband John. Her daughter attends Boone County High School participating on the swim team and her son attends Camp Ernst Middle School where he runs cross country with the Boone County High School team.
From early on, Julia’s passion has been family and community engagement. Bringing the power of everyone together for the success of our students. She looks forward to working with district personnel, families, businesses and community leaders to build upon the exceptional groundwork which has already been laid.
