Dear Boone County Community,
The Boone County Board of Education is diligently working on a plan to align the district’s salaries with other area districts and local businesses. To that effort our district has formed a committee to look at our compensation scales for all positions. In starting this work the Ad Hoc salary committee looked at areas that were our biggest concern in keeping our district running effectively to best serve students. It was determined that bus drivers, bus aides, and custodians were the first areas to be address. The board approved a salary increase in this area at the September board meeting to take effect September 20, 2021. The revised classified salary schedule containing these changes may be viewed by CLICKING HERE. All salary schedules are available at any time on the Human Resources’ page of the District’s website.
The committee will continue to meet throughout the year to look at additional areas that need attention. We want to be as transparent as possible during this process and also ensure that we will do our best to address the different areas of the district.
