District Health Services
Director of Health Services
Boone County Schools Health Services is dedicated to ensuring that all children reach their full potential by collaborating with families, staff and community partners. Our staff of nurses and health support staff follow CDC and Boone County Health Department guidelines to provide families with knowledge concerning immunization requirements, preventative health services, and other medical screenings. By working together we can assist families in meeting each student’s physical and emotional needs; ensuring success today and in the future.
“Students that are healthy stay in school, have fewer absences and they learn better, and students that are well educated become healthy adults.” - Carolyn Duff President of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN)
Virtual School-Based Telehealth Program
Boone County Schools is partnering with St. Elizabeth Physicians to provide School-Based Telehealth to our community. These telehealth services do not take the place of your primary care provider. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate in this program. You do not have to be a current patient of St Elizabeth Physicians and will be encouraged to have any needed follow up care with your primary care provider. The virtual visit will be billed to your insurance on file, similar to a standard office visit. Please check with your insurance carrier for coverage of Telemedicine Video Visits. The school district collects no money for this service. For more information, please review Frequently Asked Questions via the link below. For all other questions, please email VirtualHealthCenter@stelizabeth.com.
