Boone County Schools is proud to have 8 ENERGY STAR certified school buildings. These schools are ranked among the top in the nation for energy efficiency. To be eligible for ENERGY STAR certification, a school building must earn an ENERGY STAR score of 75 or higher (on EPA’s 1-100 energy performance scale), indicating that it performs in the top 25 percent of similar buildings nationwide!
