Superintendent Search Committee

The Boone County School District is currently taking nominations for a minority parent to serve on the Superintendent Search Committee. If you are interested in serving as a minority parent please call 859.282.4628.  According to KRS160.345 (1) (a.), the definition of minority means American Indian; Alaskan native; African-American; Hispanic, including persons of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Central or South American origin; Pacific islander; or other ethnic group underrepresented in the school.  The parent must have a student that attends a school within the Boone County School District. The student does NOT have to be a minority.

The deadline to nominate is noon on March 11^th, 2024. Elections for this position will be held on Wednesday, March 13^th at 6:00 pm at Ralph Rush Professional Development Center, 99 Center Street, Florence, KY. Voting will be anonymous. One vote per parent.  A tie in votes will be decided by a coin toss. 

Each committee member is REQUIRED to be at ALL superintendent screening committee meetings – March 19^th, April 4^th, April 16^th, and April 25^th. Additional meetings may be scheduled.
