Focus Summer Program

Focus Summer Program

School remains open and we have a phenomenal opportunity for your child in the Focus program this summer!  The Focus program is here to help students fill in gaps that they may have acquired in English Language Arts and/or Math and any Jones student is welcome to join. It will meet students exactly where they are in these subjects and build on their current skills.  Students, you have impressed us with your commitment to school during Nontraditional Instruction (NTI)!  You have proven you can manage your time, pace your work, be in communication with teachers, and manage an online learning platform.  We are so proud of you!

Please respond hereto let us know that you are interested….   or you can email one of the Focus program teachers for the summer... Mrs. Reynolds, Mr. Pearcy, Mrs. Knapmeyer, Mrs. Deller or Mrs. Kimmich.  If it’s easier, you can call the front office to let us know you’d like your child to participate.  We count on your support.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 859-282-4610.

When does it begin and end?

  • Program begins May 26, 2020

  • Program now extended through July 31, 2020!

Why sign up?

Research proves you are more successful in high school, and later in life and work, the more on grade you are -- especially in reading and math.  We care about each and every student, and part of our concern for you is our work together in meeting this learning goal.  All students participating in our Focus program will receive computer-guided instruction via ALEKS, Reading Plus, or Lexia.  The online course your child will be enrolled in is based on his/her current skills in ELA and/or Math.  The virtual program allows students to work from home. We will connect with you through your Chromebook device.  Again, should you not have Internet at home, we will provide you with a Chromebook, and Internet Service providers have deals to sign-up for free.
