END OF DAY CAR LINE PROCEDURES FOR EVERYDAY AND OCCASIONAL PICK-UP STUDENTS
Is your child an everyday pickup? Will you occasionally pick up your child at the end of the day? If you answered YES, please see below for the afternoon pick up procedures.
Pull into the Ockerman Elementary loop and PARK in a parking spot. Please do NOT park in the spots with signs unless they apply to you (handicapped, principal, family resource, etc.). If you pull into the OES lot and there are no parking spots available, please begin forming a line in the OMS loop. Please do not form a line on the road between OES and OMS. This causes a back-up on US 42. OES staff will come out at the end of the day and direct cars when to line up in a double line. If you see the yellow chain at the entrance to the OES lot, proceed to the OMS lot to wait for a signal to drive to the OES loop. Thank you for your cooperation.
Just a reminder that all families will need a CAR TAG when picking up their child after school. If you did not come to Open House, please stop by the office to get one prior to picking up. If your child will be an OCCASIONAL pick-up, please fill out the Google form on the OES website under the parent tab before 3:00 p.m. Please remember to hang your car tag from your rearview mirror so OES staff can see it. Also, included in the envelope were backpack tags. Please attach that tag to your child’s backpack prior to Thursday to make things run smoothly. We will continue to use the double line when lining cars up. Thanks for all your help!
