The Maker Expo, held this past weekend at the Ignite Institute, is Northern Kentucky’s premier celebration of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). This family-focused community event brought together more than 50 interactive exhibits and activities from local schools, artists, and innovative companies, all centered on curiosity, collaboration, and resourcefulness.
Students and families had the opportunity to explore and create through hands-on experiences, including robotics, 3D printing, electronics, coding, and other STEM-focused presentations that define the event. Attendees could dive into the STEAM Showcase, compete in signature challenges like the Lego Brick Build, 3D Print Challenge, and Photo Hybrid Challenge, or simply enjoy creative exploration.
The event also featured an Artist Market showcasing unique work from local student and adult artisans, an Outdoor Expo, school STEAM projects, make-and-take stations, the NKY Camp & Activities Fest highlighting summer opportunities and career pathways.
Whether competing or just exploring, there was truly something for everyone. Thank you to our sponsors and everyone who participated!
